Tonu The Old Little Cuckoo

Every morning, every night, they asked Old Little Tonu the cuckoo,
"How are you doing there, big guy?"
"Taking a nap, I suppose?", said Loius the sparrow,
"Nap is the only thing he would'nt deny.", sang Noey the nightingale

"Come on, it's almost summer!", said little Trut,
"Mhm, come along" said Harry the Hummer.
But all old little Tonu did was lay on his back,
His wings and tummy wrapped up in a sack,
And his eyes shut.

Every morning, every night, they asked Old Little Tonu the cuckoo,
"How are you doing there, big guy?"
"Come down and fly"
But all old little Tonu did was not care,
And pretend to sleep beneath his warm blanket

And silently weep
For he knew,
That Louis wanted his grains,
Noey would just complain,
Trut wanted his blanket to take
And Harry's friendship was fake.

So away turned Old Little Tonu the cuckoo,
Hoping to someday get out and reach to himself,
And be the big guy he wanted to be.
